Our team is committed to being involved in the community. We are each individually involved in various organizations and as a team we have supported several local projects.
This holiday season, we are collecting musical instruments for St. Martin de Porres Academy. Instrumental music is one of the core components of their model and each student is required to play at least one instrument as well as participate in one of their three bands. Many students would like to continue to study music in high school and college; however, are lacking the instruments to do so. Our hope is to enable the school to accomodate each young musician who has the desire to continue their musical endeavors. Instruments may be dropped off at our office through the holiday season or we would be happy to make arrangements to pick the instrument up. Please call us at 203.784.7401 or email noblegroup.com.
In June, we provided transportation and food for a field trip with the students and teachers of St. Martin de Porres Academy to see the Yankees play the Indians in NYC . Our entire team served as chaperones and had quite an enjoyable day. Click here to view our photo collage!
This April, we arranged for a gift basket to be auctioned off at the New Haven Home Recovery auction. A few local downtown merchants and restaurants contributed to provide the lucky bidder to "Experience Downtown New Haven."
To honor our clients for the 2012 holiday season, we made a donation to Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven. Habitat builds and rehabilitates homes in the Greater New Haven area with the goal of creating safe, decent, affordable houses that add to the revitalization of New Haven's neighborhoods.
Along with the rest of our nation, we are all deeply saddened about the tragedy in Newtown, CT. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the families through this difficult time. There are many avenues to help the families through online donations - the Fairfield County Community Foundation provides several options and also has links to valuable resources to help families through this difficult time.
We continue to extend our thoughts to our clients and the communities impacted by Hurricane Sandy. If you are interested in making a contribution for the relief efforts, consider a gift to Meals on Wheels or other organizations that are providing food and shelter directly to those who have been impacted by the storm. In Mid-September, Charles was proud to participate in the Bikes for Tykes charity event in partnership with Caring People Alliance and Neighborhood Bike Works. During this inaugural event, Janney employees and strategic partners took a break from the stock market to assemble bicycles for the young children and toddlers of the R.W. Brown Community Center in North Philadelphia. A copy of the full article can be found here Bikes for Tykes article along with the attached photo of Charles during the event.
This past summer we collected back to school supplies for New Haven Home Recovery.
Our team has also been involved with a local Habitat for Humanity chapter, Sleeping Giant Build. Our team has provided financial support and participated together in helping to build three homes over the past three years.
